Audio podcasting

Interviews with customers, experts, allies, partners, and experts on your subject matter can help build credibility, educate and engage a customer base. One lower-cost alternative (or supplement) to a suite of videos or written articles is the audio podcast. Here is a sampling of some interviews and podcasts.

I had the pleasure of interviewing Malcolm Gladwell on Why Leadership Requires Humility  in advance of a conference where he was a keynote speaker to manufacturing executives. This group of some 2500 executives was part of a cadre who are setting new standards and approaches to management in the global economy.

The audio podcast was used as a teaser in email marketing for the conference. This is the extended version. Transcript.

I created (interviewed, edited and produced) several episodes of a podcast for the Association of Manufacturing Excellence. As a self-appointed ‘Safety Bear’ I have a passion for first aid and life jackets, so the “Safety Episode” was my favourite. More importantly, it reveals how safety adds value to the whole organization – in addition to being the right thing to do.

Professor Mike Rother on The Opportunity to be Wrong
Interviewing Mike Rother of the University of Michigan was a true pleasure because he is one of those who like to surprise the business community. It may be his time studying how the Japanese plan work, or is interest in rethinking how to improve slow, inefficient or even broken promises. Either way, Mike has zeroed in the deceptively simple idea that things improve in small increments. Listen to find out more. You can read the pdf of the print version of the interview here.

I believe in opening up access to audiences by offering material in several formats. You can read the pdf of the print version of the interview here. Interested in more about how he helps people improve their organization? Visit his site.

It’s not the product and services that make a company, it’s the minds and hearts within the people of that company that make the difference…[and] now we have data to prove it.   – Ms. C. Abdoulah
